2009 Negotiations Update

 

June 22, 2009

 

Negotiations has ended.  A tentative agreement has been reached.  A mass meeting was held June 25th 2009 at Eisenhower Jr. High auditorium and the tentative agreement was ratified by the membership.  There is still one more step in the process, that of the GSD Board approving the package.  This should happen in the July School Board Meeting.

 

We negotiated for the following items:

 

1.   Fund medical and prescription insurance programs with the following changes:

Change pharmacy benefits to $10/$25/$45

B.   Change to 85% network co-insurance (65% out of network)

C.   Change care PPO to Med PPO

D.   Reset the employee and non-spouse dependent contribution at 5% and the non-employee spouse contribution at 20%

2.    Increase the flex spending amount to $7200

3.    Continue to fund the training fund at $15,000, not to exceed $20,000 with carryover
